Core Regulation in Biodynamic Practice

This course will focus on changing the brain to more effectively self-regulate emotions and normalize the effects of traumatic stress. Therapists will learn core regulation by bringing conscious attention to the viscera and the related vascular system in themselves and in the client and synchronizing with Primary Respiration. New science demonstrates that this builds empathy and compassion and changes brain function. The client begins to heal through resonance with the therapist and sensing the effects of Primary Respiration in the core of the body. The clinical focus of the table work will be sensing the embryological development of the foregut-face and lungs, followed by the midgut-intestines-diaphragm and the hindgut-pelvis-bladder-uterus/prostate and kidney-heart-relationships.

You will:

  • Learn clinical practices from interpersonal neurobiology for building compassion.
  • Learn to relate Primary Respiration with the core viscera.
  • Deepen into the heart-brain-relationship for change process.
  • Learn how to normalize traumatic stress.
